Re: will this intercooler fit?

The t-jets 120 and 150 use the same intercooler.

I'm not 100% sure the intercooler on the GP Abarth is different... as far as i remember it's not.. it's the same exact size.

Have a look at this thread i started (there is useful info in it, no point in copying it over):

Re: will this intercooler fit?

Hi mate thanks for reply and link. Reading through more of your posts how did you get on with your turbo swap did it run ok in the end? And how much of a difference was it with turbo intercooler and remap? Sounds like more work than I first thought.

I can't see the GP Abarth 120 listed on these guys site, but they do list the Bravo with the 120 T-Jet as being remappable.

Yes was considering these but a fair way away from me prob 5-6 hours away. Their is companyís out there that will turn up and map my car but as Iím looking to do more than just remap it I want a company that can tweak things on a dyno or as Iím driving my car also support along the way when/if anything goes wrong. Spoke to a couple of guys that do Remaps and they didnít sound like they had much of a clue got the impression they can just put a map from a laptop onto your Ecu and thatís about the limit of their knowledge.

Re: will this intercooler fit?

Ok so i have found a place in leeds called RS tuning that will do a custom remap, with my exhaust and induction kit reckons i could get up to around 170bhp. Is that too much for the standard turbo? and how easy a job is it to fit a vl36? hoping to get all this done before the end of the month.

Re: will this intercooler fit?

Too much for the vl37 on standard petrol.
Realistically 160 is about the limit for the vl37 with only 98 octane fuel.... with chance of engine damage on 95 octane.

The vl36 isn't that difficult to replace,... it's just fiddly, it takes time and a set of basic tools, wrenches, sockets, extensions..etc etc. takes a few good hours, access is limited... a lot of things need to be removed before you can access other things..etc etc
Thanks l33punto thanked for this post

Re: will this intercooler fit?

Yes Abarth will fit. Cheaper options are available if you are happy to make mounts and have time to get it to fit.

Cheers

Ben
