Swap ECU of Stilo 843a1000 to Panda 169A3000

Good morning;

I have been always thinking about the possibility of install the ECU from a Fiat Panda 100 HP (code engine 169a3000) in my Fiat Stilo 95 HP (code engine 843a1000).

Why?

Same piston bore and stroke => 72 x 84 mm
Total displacement => 1368 cm3

And all other parts... equal. If it's possible, you'll have a Fiat (Stilo and Grande Punto) with 5 hp more and an original ECU from Fiat

I think there should be some more differences between the engine types... some exhaust differences (longer headers, different cat), or different intakes (longer intake runners), different cams, (bigger lift and longer duration), different throttle body ..etc etc

I'd check you have all these the same

I'd appreciate a lot if you find which are the difference between both engines.


I am not sure if Fiat will invest in mechanical mods. to obtain 5 hp more, but if it's something mechanical, better for us, because will be easy to swap by ourselves.
