So I recently got my first GP in exotica red and on first impressions I love it!!

Was wondering, would a decat pipe for a Z19 DTH fit the 1.9MJET? As I’m struggling to find a manufacturer that make one specific. I’ve had a good look at images of both the standard cat on the GP and the decat pipe for the Z19 and they look identical.

Any input would be greatly appreciated ?

Ahh brilliant, €199 is abit steel though. Then ones for the Z19 I saw online we’re only £49. I guess probably crap material for that price.

Does it’s make much difference once it’s decat’d?

yeh I saw on another thread someone had that one. I’ll have to see, think I wanna lower it first

A decatted Diesel shouldn't fail a MOT.
Legal or not, that's another question...
( just waiting for Robert to join in...)

My decatted ( and closed EGR) Alfa GT jtd hasn't failed a MOT in many years..
And our annual test isn't that different from yours in the UK.

Not rules are changing this year And i know for sure a removed dpf will fail and I sure a remoted cat is also a fail but not 100% on this

Ofc this all comes down to the testerand how through they are with the checks

From 20th May 2018 the UK MOT test will include a specfic check for obviously missing or tampered with DPF. The requirement to check for a catalyst being present when originally fitted was in the previous (current) version. Thus a car with a de-cat pipe will fail the test if it's done properly. Test pass or not its still illegal and can invalidate your insurance. Anyone who brags about having such a modification on social media or a public forum is a fool.

Jesus wish I’d have kept my mouth shut ? what happened to people being able to modify there cars ?

Unfortunatly the ablity to modify a production car has pretty much gone away due to emissions and safety regulations. If you want to play you either get an older car (fit a modern engine in older car or vice versa and you only have to meet the regulations for the oldest part in UK) or build from scratch and get a single vehicle approval.
Unfortunatly this is doing nothing to encourage the next generation of engineers.
