Hi all,

'57 Grande Punto 1.9 MJ

Mods so far:
Xenons
Tinted Windows
Team Heko wind deflectors
Sun Strip

Mods to do:
Celtic tuning remap (should take it from 130 to 185)
Lowering springs (or coilovers?)
refurb alloys (anyone else had this problem)
paint calipers blue

I want to get some kind of touch screen in the cabin, any recommendations?

I see a lot of people spray paint the front bumper black to give the impression of a large grille, is this easy to do?

How do I de badge the front and back?

Any other reccomendations?

De Badge should be easy to do....

Not done it yet on my GP 130 but I have done it on my Alfa 156 JTDM.

Need warm weather (!) or a hair drier handy. Careful not to scorch the paint (!). When the badge is warm, get an old credit card ( some say nylon fishing line works) and slide the card under the badge. They are only held on with double sided tape. Be patient and slowly work the card under the badge. Keep it warmed as well. Eventually you should be able to remove the badge/tape. Then clean off the residue with meths or similar, then polish the nice de-badged paintwork.

Re wheels, I may have mentioned in a different post about a franchise called The Wheel Specialist: I have used the one in Durham and they were excellent. They are not the cheapest but IMHO they did a first class job: I had a set of tatty BMW OEM 17"alloys on my E36 318iS that I bought for track days. I dropped the car off at 9am, collected it at 4pm and it was all done to a very high standard. The wheels honestly looked like new. Cost was about £54 per wheel ( that was about 4 years ago though !)

My 2006 GP 130 Sporting M-jet really needs the 17 inch wheels doing, but funds will not allow that just yet !
