What is the best software for me to get, I am looking for the software to remove the speed limiter on my Doblo 1.3 multijat van and also to be able to read any future fault codes etc, will also need the cables to suit so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated

Gendan uk is a/the distributer of multiscan for fiat, so other than the many subject matter experts here they are worth speaking to. They are very good and can supply licensed versions and the cables, can systems only, is about 90 pounds, but I don't know if it will remove the limiter, I am sure some one can comment.

Just spoken to Gendan uk, very helpful and very informative also, the guy i spoke to ran a simulation while I was on the phone and the software does support the speed limiter removal or reset, so anyhow I have ordered the package from them and it should be with me tomorrow

Just the job, speed limiter is removed, glad I spoke to Gendan UK , great people to deal with:)

it is a 2011 1.3jtd model is 263 so I was told by Gendan
this van was leased to Carrillion originally

I've just bought a 2012 ex carrillion Doblo, just looked on the Grenden website, what exactly do you get for your money? it looks like it's a download, surely you need cables to connect to the van etc ? is it easy to remove the limiter ?

cheers guys

Hi buddy, thanks for the offer but I'm a little too far from you,I'll sort out a lead as per your link and then registrar and download the software, by chance would you happen to know if this would be able to permanently disable the start stop feature ? I can turn it off with the button next to the handbrake but you have to do this every time you get in the car, Great forum BTW

Hi,
I don't think you can disable the stop/start with MES. Have you checked the owners handbook to see if there is another way to turn it off?
The speed limiter is under the "Adjustments" button (or press F7) on the engine ECU page of MES. Note that there is also a "Perfomance Limiter" on some models that limits the available torque. You should turn this off too.

Im in Bradford, i can also do this for you if this helps.

Unsure about the stop start, i heard that if you disable the module in CAN proxy aligntment, the car wont start... ive not tried it so cant confirm, was from another post i read... its all wired in to the ignition and other bobbins too...

Cheers for the offer pal, I've ordered the gear today, should have it Tuesday, I'm planning on keeping the van for a good while so I ordered the home package I know it's a bit more money but I must admit I'm quite impressed with Fiat.

Cheers for all this info Robert, invaluable stuff, mines a 263 model so the software does support the speed limiter, I did a 'simulation run' today with the freeware and I couldn't see any performance limiter but hey ho as long as the speed limiter is off I'm happy. I rang up Grendan today, spot on and very helpfull, I look forward to sorting it out the weekend :slayer:

FYI Guys, to find out if your model is supported the '263' part is the first three numbers of the VIN on your van :)
