Hi just wonder if removal of DPF would fail MOT? if so and can it be avoided? any help will be much appreciated thanks :)

Mot rules were changing sometime at the beginning of this year, you can still get away with removing a standard cat, but a DPF i believe that's changed, but why bother you can have the innards removed so it appears the DPF is still there. either fully removing of the DPF or having the innards taken out require the ECU to be remapped and i dont mean for performance but to remove the dpf program.....

ah right! thank you :D

I did see something about how technically its illegal, and could invalidate insurance etc due to the nature of the changes, somewhere online.

The way is described it made sense and was logical, but atm I think detection is unlikely, just could cause a massive headache in a few years time!

Personally I wouldn't remove it.
