Now having got lubrication to the cam (and thanks Andy I looked a bit harder and found the missing solenoid contact) the new head is finished. The car drives I've just been 3 miles in it, all the VITAL signs are ok, ahem, except for the above. Now could this be the timing??? The fuel pump sprocket would not line up exactly with the timing mark when at rest. So I pulled it back it a tooth so it did. :idea: Is the timing that sensitive, or is there anything else to check?
