Technical Tipo 1.6DGT + uno turbo i.e. possible???

Ok ive gone out and bought a 1990 Fiat tipo 1.6 DGT (the one with the knightrider style digital dash), and I plan to rip out the engine here and replace it with the engine and gearbox from my much quicker but rusted away (and sadly pratically unrepairable) 1991 Fiat uno turbo i.e. (non cat) but im finding info on this very scarce.

is it possible? do the driveshafts fit? does the engine fit? exhaust? can you give me any info on this, or has anyone else attempted something this brave/stupid (delete as appropriate)

I think that it's easier to just replace engine and use Tipo's own gearbox.

it should not be a problem!
the block of the 1,3 and 1,4 uno turbo is the same as the 1,4tipo and 1,6tipo sohc engines!

the only thing you might get a problem is with the wiring! and exhaust!
you could also move the head from the 1,3turbo ie uno onto the 1,6block! and keep under 0,5bar.....

gearbox fits! im 99% sure! maby the flyweel is bigger on the turbo??
