Hello again!

As the tittle asks, what is the interval ? I have 150 000 km on my counter. Last changed on 75 000 km.

Greetings

According to Haynes Book of Lies, the timing belt change interval is 100 000 km.

I find 100.000 km a lot...
From what I know the timing belt, whatever the model of the car, should be changed at 60000 km or 3-4 years no matter the covered distance. It' s a bit risky to keep the belt for more that 60000 km or 3-4 years as the damage that might occur is huge compared to the cost of the timing belt. Personally I have a Fiat Tipo 1.4 i.e. 1992 model with 71000 km and I have changed already the timing belt 3 times because of the years that have passed and not because of the km driven.

My aunt has a Peugeot 106 1.1 1992 model with only 50000 km and the timing belt was cut as it hadn' t been changed for 6 years. The damage was 1000 euros...

I leave the conclusions to you.

Thx for info. I will change it as soon as possible. Althou I dont know, must I also replace belt tensioner and water pump ? Since water pump is not runing on timing belt, I think there is no need to do so ?

Greetings
