Technical Got a Digital Dash

Hey there

I got myself a Digital Dash from I think a 1.4 DGT I wanted to put it in place of my Anologue Dash on my 1.6 Brio However there are at least 4 extra plugs on the back of my current Dash meaning if I did do the swap I would have lots of cables left over, furthermore the Fuel Economy meter on my current dash is connected via a vacuum hose, there is no apparent connection on the digi dash.....

How should I go about connecting it?

Just bridge the 'power' LED - I'm sure you don't often see the ecconomy light

Har Har I do see the economy light when I have my foot off all the pedals and am slowing down.... unless I use the handbrake then you dont really have time to see it

Maybe I'll try and connect it tomorrow if I have time but I think I'll need to Cap the Vacuum hose, if anyone can tell me what goes where and why I have so many sockets and the digi dash don't then your help would be much appreciated

My dash has:

Speedo
RPM
Milage
Trip
Fuel
Fuel Economy
Engine Temp
Door open + Electrical failure panel
and all the other indicators such as indicators, lights on, fog lights heater etc

The Digi dash has all that bar some of the indicators because the Brio had more extras then the 1.4 DGT... like front Fogs
