A plea for help to anyone who may know the answer. Does anyone know how to remove the ignition barrel from a 95 Tipo? The key has snapped off and was turning with the remains of the key but now won't. I've taken the covers off but must be missing something to get it out, if it's possible...

Haynes manual P192 section 11.16

1 disconnect battery negative
2 remove steering column lower shroud

8 insert key and turn to position MAR
9 using a screwdriver, working throught the slot in the rear of the lock housing, depress the retaining lug and withdraw the lock cylinder using the key
10 DO NOT turn the ignition switch operating pin in the column switch housing whilst the lock cylinder is removed
11 If desired the cylinder can be removed from its housing sfter removing the circlip from the end of the cylinder
12 reassembly and refitting is the reverse of dismantling and removal.

Good luck. I may well have a spare assembly and key knocking around somewhere.
