Hi i am a mechanic with the same problem on my 93 1.4 tipo i have bought an entirly new exhaust system which not only improves performance but it now sounds sweet! a forced air induction kit is also a good buy but make sure you buy a brand otherwise they have a tendancy to break. top of this list is to make sure you buy a chip some of these only take 5 min to fit but they add 40bhp!! if you have a picture of your car could you send it to me as i need some ideas for interior as well as exterior my e-mail is [email protected] cheers adam
 
Hi, I also have a Tipo 1.4ie (1992) and I also want to do some tuning. I have already fitted an exhaust system but I'm a little bit worried about the air filter system. Everyone has told me that if I install an air filter, I would also need a new program (chip) and a gas regulator (I don't quite remember if this is what it's called). Do you know where I can get a new chip and how much it costs? what about the air filter? Do you know what brand to use? Thanx alot!!

40bhp ... the chip is like a chip tuning, and rairly gives over 15bhp... not even with a reprofiled camshaft... it should be extreme..
