I was browsing the net and found this pic of my car. I can confirm it still looks like that apart from some minor rust on one rear panel - soon to be changed out.

Love it! My 1.4 DGT is great, but yours is epic! Most of my electrics work, although the dash thinks my boot's open when I go over a bump...small potatoes to drive a cool Tipo. :)

Always listed after the 16v...and your photo reminds me why!

I think you're right tipomike! My dash is cool, but not without its issues...like the second digit of the speedometer, which is sometimes bright and clear, and sometimes dim. Grrrr.

There's hardly any DGTs about. According to How Many Left, less than 10 1.4s are actively cruising on UK roads. Sad, really - Tipos are epic. :)

Here are a few more random pics of my car - at the NEC, at show with Sedici 2000 - Gary's car etc. Must put it back on the road!! Also in the middle picture, taken at Malvern Show te Blue 16v 3 door , in the background is my son's turbo Tipo - sadly no longer with us.

How about you buy Mike's Teapot, and I'll buy your DGT? Don't think for a minute I'm joking! Mike's Sedici is a great example by the way - goes like a rocket & I'd have bought it years ago if it was a DGT ;)

I'd definitely think about it...if I thought my DGT was worth anything like Mike's black beauty. But I suspect that's not the case. :(

All joking aside, please remember where I am if you sell the DGT. I did contact the seller several times, but he never replied, so I was a bit surprised to see it existed nearly a year later! BTW Mike's Tipo is periodically for sale, to a good home, so never say never! (y)

Will do :) It's way too much fun, so I don't think it'll be going anywhere for a while. I'd only ever think of replacing it with another Mk1 Tipo. Mike's 16v or Michael Dranfield's silver slice of gorgeousness might do the trick... ;) but I'm loving my green Teapot!

I have found an old picture of mine on the net too. I can confirm it looks a lot better now!!

Well back on the road as of yesterday. All seems to be ok except fuel gauge stuck - probably need to go fast over a big bump ! - and cant open the boot, probably a bad earth somewhere.

OIl and filter changes done + put some petrol in to replace the 3 year old "varnish" that was in there - been on a couple of shake down runs and we are slowly moving from stuttering performance to the usual "whoosh"......fingers crossed. Already covered more miles than it has done in the last 3 years.........................................
