Probably a stupid question but does anyone know if repair or replacement panels are still available for the rear wheel arches (inner arch that join the boot floor)? Have seen reference to them but can't see any listed anywhere on the web, here or across Europe. I'm guessing if they aren't available anymore its back to trying to fabricate something from the old ones?

While I'm at it an even longer shot - would anyone know if its possible to get replacement headlamp wiper arms for a Mk1? One is missing and the other has gone brittle...

Many thanks,

you could still get the Tipo n/s inner arch direct from Fiat in 2013. For the off/side, some Alfa arches fit e.g. an early 146 model probably, the part nos are similar on eper - these were available from Alfa, the main difference is the filler bracket which rusts away anyway. Alfa was cheaper than Fiat. There is an outer part to the inner arch - which can't be found. What are you looking at doing?

Thanks - have checked with Fiat dealer today and don't seem to show anything as available anymore.

Looking to have to replace/repair the two rear arches in the boot mainly where they meet (or now don't) the boot floor panel but also have holes in other places.

EPER seems to bring up numbers 7648499 and 7648498 which seem to look right but Googling them brings up some in Europe for 150 Euros plus each... Thought it might be easier if the panels were available to simply replace.

7648499 was £116 + vat from Fiat in Oct 2013. You might check that the dealer is inputting the modern equivalent part no.

The other side is no. 98 as you say and was out of stock but 60620585 was £81 + vat from Alfa (for a 146) and fits ok and still available as at October 2013.

You can easily bend 0.9 sheet to patch the curved panels. If the rot is everywhere including into the sill and seat belt mounts, then a new panel is best but its a fairly big job, they are big panels and run into the sills they are actually made of two sheets spot welded together towards the front. I'll try to post on here the work I've been doing on mine here soon.

headlight wipers were one of the hardest parts to find for my Tipo!! Which parts are you missing?

Thanks all. Think we will be going down the fabrication route as mainly at the backs and along the side/edge where they meet the boot floor.

For the headlight wipers its missing one entirely and the other only has the wiper arm but the fixing to the wiper motor has disintegrated...
