Technical Speedo

My speedo is stuck at 20 mph...hmmm are they manual or electronic? thx in advance.

What year? most are a electronic sensor in the gearbox very easy to change.
However on very early tipos i think it was opperated by a vacum, not to sure tho. If you remove the dash board you'll be able to see.

Its a '95 m reg...i just got it cheap but it has a few probs....not much really...new exhaust which i picked up for 40 quid...brakes a bit spongy...and the heater and speedo...ill look into it ..thx for ur help matey

Well i replaced the thingy on the gearbox with one that worked b4...and still no change!! it works intermittently!! So any more ideas...i know its electronic...maybe its loose behind the dash??

when I bought mine the Speedo worked, then it died... for a long time, then one day it sprang to life... for a bit.. then died.

The plug that connects to the gear box needed adjusting I made sure the connector where tight and plugged it back it. Never failed since.
