Hi, I am Keith Walker from the USA, and I have an unusual Tipo project.
I will be putting a 2.0 Tipo 16v engine into a Lancia Scorpion (Montecarlo)!
The whole story on how I got the engine is interesting in and of itself. At the time in the 1990's Ferrari was the only Italian auto maker who still sold cars in the USA.
Since USA emissions at the time were so stringent, Ferrari's emissions lab (in Michigan) would test not only Ferrari engines for the US market, but also Ferrari, Alfa and FIAT/Lancia engines for euro markets as well.
The Tipo 2.0 16v was sent over for testing (with different cams), and like all engines sent over, it was a waste of money to send them back, so they accumulated in their warehouse.
When the Ferrari emissions lab closed, they had a big auction and some luckers got engines with very little wear on them. As we say in the US, 'they fell off the back of the truck'!
I purchased the Tipo engine second hand from another Lancia enthusiast and have been holding on to it for about 8 years.
It has been extremely hard to get parts for it, but in the years gone by, I was able to purchase the engine and battery wiring looms and the ECU. I also managed to purchase many of the electrical components. Many of the fuel injection/emission parts were on the engine, but many were modified for emissions testing purposes.
I am waiting on a FIAT Coupe 16vt transmission to be delivered from the UK, and should be ready to start the installation in the next year.
I will be posting photos as I can and asking questions about details about the engine, I look forward to getting to know some members and seeing the mods done!

Some of the simple questions:
- What is the standard fuel pressure for the 2.0 16v?
- The water pump has a certain bolt flange diameter, but when I purchased the pulley, it was another diameter. Anyone have the proper part nos. for matching sets?
