Do all Tipo`s & Tempra`s have the same ones?

The brakes in my Tempra have never been too good, taking alot of foot pressure to bring it to a sudden halt.

Its a 93 2.0 non-ABS.

I have tried using eper but I never manage to connect...

I need to know so I know what to get off ebay!

I also have a thing where when I go round fast right handers (& sometimes not even that fast), & the rear left caliper drags, making a slight noise.

This is knackering the pads quickly...

I recently had a look on a ramp & found the handbrake cables were all fine (not too loose, not too tight & not fouling), I regreased the handbrake mech on the caliper behind the rubber boot (it shows no issues though) & checked the caliper was ok (piston isnt rusty & moves in & out fine) & checked & re-greased the axle load valve (which also seems to be fine).

The shocks are Monroe gas units & are fairly new, although it still rolls a fair bit & behaves like a RWD during hard cornering (i.e. it has oversteer), which although fun, isnt right, especially at motorway speeds....

The only issues I could see was the bushes between the rear subframe & chassis legs are cracked.

Any hints would be nice!

Cheers! (y)

A repair kit for the rear swing arms cut my roll by upto 50%. Check if your rear wheels are splaying out at the bottom. There's a kit on ebay for £9.99

Jonti

They seem fne jonti, I`ll keep an eye on it though. (y)

I would like to fit spacers or wider wheels at some point, especially at the rear, theres a good 1 1/2" of clearance under the arches, they look lost under there! its nearly as bad as those old Commer vans from the 70`s!

Doing that would help the handling, but I do want to sort out the issue first as theres definately something not right.

I havent touched it for a couple of weeks as I`ve been using the Uno as a runaround, but I`ll have a look again when I get round to doing the rear pads.
