hi all just bought a fiat tipo for my other half but it need a few things done to it to get it back on the road the windscreen is cracked can any one tell me if any other fiats will fit it its a m reg 1995 1.4 5 door many thanks goggs

Tipo windscreens are specific to the Tipo. Do you have a windscreen excess on your insurance?

hi there thanks for the answer the car is not insured yet as it needs a few things done to it like the windscreen and new exhaust any idea how much i would pay for a windsceen second hand and are the tipos easy to get hold of parts many thanks

Parts for Tipo's are getting hard to get hold of. Many parts are still available from the dealers but you will find yourself spending more than you paid for the car. I for example need an idle valve - they're about £200! As for finding them in breakers yards - unfortunatly most seem to be going straight to the scrap yards.

There is also the possibility that parts can be fitted from the Bravo/Brava/Marea which were based on the Tipo - also the coupe.

Only Tipo/Tempra windscreens are the same.

Forgot about the Tempra... mostly because the chances of finding one is so small it's almost not worth trying!

i need new windscreen as well, i phoned a company out of the yellow pages and they said it would be £140 fitted so there not that much.

goggs1980 where are you based, im from manchester, and there is a little back street garage that does exhausts, and there really cheap, ive been using them for years.
