I'm going to break my own silence.

I changed my rusty sump - filthy contortionist job you have to get a spanner into a crack between the engine/sump to loosen the oil pick up so you can get the sump forwards past the subframe and off.

20,000 miles after my gearbox was supposedly refurburbed the synchro is going again. I can't believe it. Looks like I spent £500 for a load of rubbish.

Otherwise using the Tipo extensively for moving junk between York and Scotland - which is where we are moving och aye

Did a mini service on the old blue 1.4 workhorse. Swapped the air filter and plugs for some cleaner ones, and changed the grotty oil (lots of short journeys I guess).

The motor factors actually gave me 15/40 turbo diesel oil (Morris), supposedly it's fine for petrols, just a little over-specified if anything (more detergents, but should get her really clean inside).

I had a tyre re-fitted the other week, it was leaking around the rusty, dented rim. All good now.
