Hey guy...

not sure if i'm too late to jump on this, just wanted to let you know about my Tipo.

Picked up 2 weeks ago, seems to be in fairly good condition - it's a car that I've wanted to own myself for quite some time. My dad has owned to Sedici's...the 2nd was sold for just £400 on a J plate as it was had a small water leak (how I wish I'd bought it looking back).

My Tipo is my "toy" rather than every day transport as I'm sure most are now a days! It's managed to do 114k and everybody I've shown have said that I'm mad to have bought it...but what do they know!!

Initial feeling is that it's running nicely, slight rattle in the back box however other than that some very slight niggles. All original and a massive pile of reciepts however didn't come with the side skirts for some bizzare reason. I'm on the look out for some if anyone knows / has any?

Anyhow, would love to learn more about your Tipo's but will leave you with pictures of mine...not great but haven't had chance to take it to Brecon yet for some nice ones...also should've cleaned it a bit!!

Yes I think that I will struggle however the 5 door are actually the same size. Someone told me that you can fit to "2 piece" skirts to the 3dr however may need to drill holes for the fitting. Not ideal but suppose that when they are on they are on...

Hello everyone.

Im Tom, ive had my bastard teenager sedicivalvole for a few years now and well i love it to bits. unfortunately it has been stood up for a few years due to funding issues!! well its time it came out and saw sun light, tasted tarmac and felt the pressure of my right foot again!! Ive got the usual things lined up, oil and plug change, cam, balancer belt and tensioner. the thing im thinking i might struggle with is that the steering rack is bleeding quite badly! in fact last time i used it i think it was costing more in power steering fluid than petrol, which with the way i used to drive it is saying a lot!! i have spoken to desira in bury st edmunds and according to them the part numbers are not the same for all the tipos which means to me that the sedici has a different rack in it. question is, does anyone have a steering rack sitting around not doing a lot?
thanks for the time and hope to hear back soon
Tom

Ive got a metalic blue 93 tipo se ? - Crashed into the back of a truck in Brizle on Friday and smashed the headlights, no mechanic wants to help me out and im selling it. its just done 30,000 miles (my auntie was the first owner and hardly used it ) but the front crumple zone is wrecked. It got from Bristol to North wales no problem yesterday, im working till Sat and i can sort pictures of it out then, if anyones interested ive put an ad up in the for sale section, its taxed till next oct and the mot is done untill march. Hope this helps someone out.
Any comments or help much appreciated

Bog standard - original paintwork - 1991-2 - 1.4 - 127,000 Kms (79,000 mls) with no sign of tinworm anywhere. thanks to our wonderful weather and lack of salty roads.
I bought it in 1999, for the equivalent of 2,000 GB pounds.
A much better car than the two it shares the carport with, mainly because it has no orrible electronic bits to go wrong, apart from the ignition coil.

I don't think the white bumpers are standard, but I prefer them to black.

I don't have pictures of it at hand because Photobucket is acting up, but I own a silver 1995 Sedicivalvole 3 door, bone stock except for the suspension bushings and the exahust pipe. My father bought it new in 1995, I grew up and later learned to drive in that car and, in a country where performance comes at a huge premium, there still aren't many cars capable of keeping up with it in terms of performance, at least for less than a 100 grand. I doubt I'll ever sell it too.

EDIT: As soon as I finished posting, photobucket went back up, as if only to **** me off. Anyways, here are a few pics of mine.

If the stance looks a bit wonky, that's because the units sold in Brazil sat higher and had smaller wheels than their Euro counterparts to cope with our craptastic tarmac.

Dazzo - not heard form you in ages - what ever happend to "George"? !!

You will recall that the name was given to him by my daughter who incidently is counting down the days untill she can drive my Sedicevalve on my classic car policey when she hits 25!

Ouch - when we had George she was only 4, and 12 when I first got the 16v - where has the time gone!!

Is How Many Left trustworthy? If so, it's pretty sad that there are only 9 of my model Tipo currently on UK roads...

Hello!
I have FIAT TIPO 1.9TD GT made in 1992.
Does anybody else have this 1.9TD GT version? Because I feel like I'm the only one in my country. :(

Oh, sorry, didn't realise you were new on here. Welcome to FF! Kind of curious about your 1.9TD GT... How long have you owned her?
