Would just like to post a general appreciation of a great but rapidly disappearing car.
I bought mine back in 1992 (a 1.4 dgt)because I was mesmerised by its digital dash and its still outside my house today looking almost as good as it did 12 years ago without a hint of rust.
Admittedly it drives like a barge and you need to arm wrestle the steering to get it to turn a corner but people still get into it for the first time and look at its dash in awe and comment on how roomy and comfortable it is.
The Tipo was a highly underated car.

your right there m8, i got a 1.4 dgt too. Mines got main block out of a Fiat Tempra now though

Anyway, 1989 Tipo 1.6DGT was my first car - and I still have it only difference is my wife drives it now - I have moved onto a 1.8 Bravo. 15 years old and it is still going, about to hit 90000 miles now - bodywork is still mint, although it needed a patch welding on both the inner sills as the door seals had leaked. Aside from that though, it handles quite well (the steering is heavy without PAS), it is still quite swift and the digital dash rocks. It is also the only hatchback that I have managed to fit a bath into when I visited my local DIY store
