Hi,
Wonder if someone might have any idea where to start on fixing this problem.
My girlfriend is about to acquire a 1994 1.4 Tipo from her Father, and it has an aversion to starting in the damp. The car at present is garaged, and has no problems with starting. However if the car is left overnight, (or it rains while parked), it will not start, (Turns over, yet refuses to catch). Refuses to start, that is, until her father drowns the thing in WD40.
Clearly it's a damp problem, however I'd rather not rely on the WD40 solution, as it's probably causing more harm than good, and there is likely to be an easier and more permanent way to address the problem.
Any help would be gratefully received,
Cheers,
Simon.
