Does anyone feel like the Tipo is easily prone to door dings and stone dents? My car looks terrible looking at the dents around the car. My neighbour also has a tipo and his condition is very much the same as mine.


I try my best to park is nice spots yet still end up with dents. I look at other older cars and it looks like metal doors feel more solid than the tipo's. Winds me up a bit!

No way very solid and no dinks at all. Excellent paint work.

Nope..had mine 2 years no issues at all with dents etc. Sounds like you’ve just been unlucky.

No problems with my Tipos. Had last one for nearly three years and no parking knocks or door dents. Paintwork and bodywork pristine after 3 years and 26000 miles.

Oh yes!

I have two dings on the doors less than a cm and then a dent on the top boot ledge where I believe I rested a moving box for a few seconds while reaching with the other hand to open the boot.


But all things are my own wrongdoing. I also have a front right scratch from parking, and front hood because I hit my own motorcycle while parking in my garage.


But only the dent on the boot lid is noticeable really.


Maybe it is just bad luck but my Mitsubishi before that had nothing.


But otherwisde the DCT tipo 1.6 has been great. 70.000km.

Yes also have a few dings in the passenger door , mainly came from parking next to car owners who don't care about other peoples cars .

I agree. Have had the same problems. Scratched corners on the bumpers and some prat dented my offside rear door. Luckily my local body repair guy gave it a good bang in the right place and the dent popped back out. I am going to have to get him do respray the scratched bits though.
