As some of you may have seen from another post I changed the rear shocks due to one leaking
Was rather surprised how rusting the threads of one of the lower bolts was
Strangely the other side was nearly perfect cleaned it up a bit then gave them both a good coat of anti sieze paste so should be fine for a few years now

The 2 top mounting bolt to the body were also perfect other then having to cut a bit of the arch linear out of the way to get acccet to the bolts
(Great idea there designers having to take the how linar out to get to two bolts)

may i ask which rear shocks did you purchase as one of my shocks is also leaking

Thanks for the info I am assuming I can purchase the same ones for my fiat tipo 2016 it's a 1.6d hatchback.

Did they simply use the same shockers on all tipo models

Also failed the very first MOT on leaking shocks on the rear ,Seems to be a common problem with the Tipo

my tipo 1.4 multijet also failed the first mot on the rear shocks not good, now got a 1.6 diesel so far so good passed 2 mot`s

Would the shock absorbers be covered under warranty? My car is still under warranty (last year).

I don't know if I have this problem, but if it comes up in my first MOT, later in the year, I'd like to think this part can be replaced under the warranty.

Has anyone experienced this with a Fiat dealer?
