Hi had this happen today , put the key in ignition ,turned to start and got warnings ,Brake system off, turn signals need checking, rear lights not working and many more , ,Took the key back out and waited , back in and all was fine ,warning messages gone ? Wondering if this is a common fault or a glitch ?? Everything was working fine . Should i take it to the garage ??

Possibly a combination of a battery low on charge and turning they key to start too quickly

I’ve had this happen, but only once. Told me all kinds of lights weren’t working (they were).

Thanks ,I may have turned the key too quickly , Off to Fiat next Month for a new Aerial , See what they say ??

That could well be the whole story..

IF you stump up for a FIAT diagnostic.. it could show hundreds of 'historic errors'

That have little to do with what you saw recently:


Example from a 2015 service-


S-S function investigated,

Drivers seatbelt 94 times
Batery ( low charge presumably) 268 times
AC on 1305 times

: 1600 times for S-S inop.

I wouldn’t worry.I had exactly the same thing a few months ago.Recently had a full service(£452)!!! and asked them to check. Told me some errors shown up in history but nothing of any significance. Battery showed 100% health but only60% charged.Recommended to put it on charge. Car hasn’t been used much during lockdown. I would assume it’s down to low battery .
