Has anyone had any experience changing the tipo head unit for something else.

I see some mentions of some aftermarket direct replacements, here's an Android head unit..

Reading the comments it does not support changing of vechiles settings like time date auto light's ect

So no good for somebody with a higher end moddl may be all-right for those with the most basic version however

I have one of the 5" displays in my lounge, was never thrilled by it really, zero customisation, just basic guff. Plus the daily allowance of being told to agree to not using the entertainment system while driving the car as it's dangerous. :bang:

Why would you expect customisation on a car radio?


Don't think I've ever seen that with any factory system I've seen?

The radio has some car settings, took picture of it. Options not available on my car so cant really test them.

I am looking to do this once I have paid off my car. I like the stock radio it comes with by I was rather disappointed that with my car being a rather recent one 2018 (one day off being a 2019 apparently) it didn't have anything that allowed me to play music through it. I connect to the uconnect but it only does my calls, the USB port isn't very good as it has a very intermittent connection so I am hoping to swap it out for something that I can play music over the bluetooth connection.
