Would anyone know the general route of the rear washer pipeline. Mine has ceased to supply water to the top of the tailgate on my Tipo estate and l can hear (but not as yet see) the water running / rushing out somewhere in the nearside bulkhead area...l suspect that a joint has popped or pipe split somewhere in this area due to the freezing weather. I can't unfortunately see clearly or get my fingers to it but the supply pipe in the engine bay seems to disappear between the engine fuse box wiring loom bundle and the bulkhead, just where loom attaches to the bulkhead. Where could it go from there, I wonder? Do I pop off the plastic fascia panel over the suspension turret s / around the windscreen wipers or consider a look behind the glovebox area? It wouldn't be taped into, and fed though with the wiring loom, would it? The pipe, when it gets into the cabin must surely go up one of the A pillars along the head lining to the back of the car... I should investigate further when conditions are better and I have the enthusiasm, but just where too look... There is also the thought that the screenwash is flowing to some unintended & hopefully non electrical place every time I test it! Any thoughts welcome, thanks!

it follows the wiring loom through the bulkhead along the bottom of the passeenger sides doors then up the rear side od the rear door along the seat base/seat back then through the rear quarter pannel trim into the boot wiringloom rubber gaitor

id remove the rear door trim and spray the washers as mine had sprung a leak there

bit of a pain in the rear to get access to that area

Thanks for the thread info and confirmation as regards the loom situation and tube locations. The water scushing sound really seems to come from nearside bulkhead / dashboard / glovebox area in mine. I'll start with having a look in the footwell and work back / forward to (try and) get sight of the tube cabinside. This hopefully won't reach the absolute extreme end of the hassle spectrum....

Thought, I'd update and conclude this as I had some time to look at the problem today. Testing the skoosher (for want of a better word) again, against background silence, I was convinced I could hear the water skooshing high up around bulkhead. Well I thought I'll start dismantling from the front, almost at the last point where I could see the pipe in engine bay, and unclip part of the plastic shroud behind the bonnet at the edge of windscreen, just to logically rule that area out. It's not hard to remove it completely...but carefully, just 4 or 5 two part plastic push home clips and unbolt the wipers if you wanted to.

But there it was... The tailgate washer tube and a disconnected connector staring me in the face, under the dislodged plastic shroud. Couldn't believe my luck! The ribbed plastic covered tube goes through the bulkhead at this point, just to the side of where the wiring loom also goes through the bulkhead. Reconnection done and problem solved (hopefully for a long while at least)...very satisfying! Slightly awkward realigning and fitting back the shroud as there is separate small corner piece, to try and perfectly line up with and slide home, and another spongy side piece.

Also, a tip when working in engine bay. Perhaps stuff an old blanket or sheet or something under the area your working, around the open space surrounding the engine /components as it's a bit of sod and highly irritating to find / retrieve anything dropped down to the topside of the undertray... It was easier when cars didn't have these things!

The small yellow led light lying nearby to the pipe should allow you to get your bearings in the overall engine bay photo, if this helps anyone, anytime.... IMG_20210126_104953.jpegIMG_20210126_105024.jpeg

Did you have to remove the wipers? Mine washer line is disconnected in the same place but I'm afraid of dismantling the wipers.

No, it wasn't necessary to remove the wipers, just had to undo the two part clips holding the cowling in place and gently and carefully move it out of the way.

However, about a week or two ago the rear wash failed again and I am 90 % sure I can hear it skushing in the same place at the bulkhead again. Which is odd because the lesson I took from before was not to operate the rear wash when the temperature was well below zero. Perhaps the actual opening above the rear window where the jet of water is released is a bit gummed up or requiring attention with a needle, creating pressure at that pipe joint, but not really sure why it may have separated again! In any case I'll have to remove the cowling again myself and have a another look at that pipe joint....

But it passed its second MOT the other day, which is good....

Try some heat shrink on the the joint
Slide over the pipe reconnect the two end push heatshirnk ovwrand heat up
Should hopefully keep the ends together

A similar thing has happened again this winter, no washer spray on the rear tailgate screen. However, not so lucky this time as the previous repair / reconnection remains intact and I can see the "missing" screenwash running down and out through the frame of the estate tailgate. I thought maybe the pipe had disconnected from the spray nozzle situated at the side of the third brake light on the tailgate mounted plastic spoiler. Removing the centre top piece of trim on the inside of the tailgate shows the spoiler to be mainly held on with 2 nuts and two bolts... and most probably a multitude of clips. And at that point I am defeated as I don't want to risk breaking the clips or cracking the plastic spoiler. I thought also maybe it could be accessed by removing the third brake light...but I don't know how this is fixed and trying to unclip it feels like it will snap the light. And so, annoyingly, I have to give up on this one, unless someone else has a guide or an answer! The moral of the story might be - don't use the rear washer when it's zero or below...

I am having a similar issue. The pump works and I can hear the water but nothing is squirting out. It seems that on my 2017 Diesel Tipo I think the previous owner may have had the back plate off (the part that surrounds the actual jet) as water seems to trickle down the edge of the rear windscreen. I'll have to take the plastic off and make sure it's been put back on properly.

I found that my hose had popped off. Was a pain to get everything off but I'm going to upload a bit of a "blog post" somewhere to show how I managed to do it to help anyone needing it

I too am having trouble getting at the rear washer jet on my 2019 tipo sw. Water leaking inside boot lid. Cannot remove 3rd brake light, already cracked it and have tried to remove rear spoiler to get at it but even with visible nuts and bolts removed it will not move. It feels more than just body tape. Any answers much appreciated 🙏

I had the same troubles. My fixes are below, I've also attached images:

On the back of the windscreen there are 2 black pieces on the sides of the windscreen. On the outside of these there is an adhesive tape which is holding the edge on. There are also around 3 plastic clips holding these parts on. They will most likely break, I did not see an easy way to get these out unbroken. I needed to take both of these off as the spoiler part of the rear (where the brake light sits inside), they have a part that is held in by these black parts.

Hopefully that makes sense. I didn't have any way to remove the adhesive so I had to get something in and almost rip one side off. I did break the blue clips inside as well however I was able to put them back on with clear silicon. Until I can sort of a more permanent fix, holding them back on with silicone works. I didn't actually take the full spoiler part off, I was able to get my hand in. The pipe itself has a 90 degree bend on it and after a bit of feeling I was able to find the slot to put it back on.

I hope this may help you.

Got those side screen spoilers off also with broken clips but not enough clearance between spoiler and tail lid to get my hand in
(Big ✋️) but will give it a go again

I also found when I opened the boot of my car, there are 2 large black rubber looking caps. These pop out and there are 2 more bolts behind there if you haven't already got them

Yes Rob got them. All told 3 nuts and 2 bolts. But if you look carefully inside tail lid pressing opposite to where nuts and bolts attach there appears to be a threaded bolt end which to me is attaching that part of the spoiler to the tail lid. 🤔 I can't figure that one
