Not sure whether it's the recent cold weather here in the UK, but the rear window washer on my 2017 Tipo Station Wagon doesn't work. The front washers are fine and I can hear the pump working when I try to wash the rear window. The bottle is full, I always use a screenwash and I have cleaned the nozzle over the rear window. One thing I have noticed is that, if I operate the rear window washer for between 5-10 seconds, water start to run out from somewhere in the engine bay and comes out on the floor. Could this simply be the pipe to the rear window is frozen and the pressure is causing the water to back up? I haven't used the car for over a week before yesterday. Could a pipe have become unattached from the pump and if so, where should I look? Many thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's a relief to hear it's under the bonnet and not the rear seat! Could you give me any advice on whereabouts under the bonnet to look? Will the fitting/pipe be located near the windscreen washer bottle which is at the front right-hand side? Cheers.

I found a split washer pipe on my early this year (presumably form before I got the car as the rear washer had allways bene poor)
It needed the rear quarter of the car dismantling to get acccess several plastic trim pannels and huge pain in the behind

Got my tipo 1.6 easy plus Sept 2019 from Richard Hardi in sunderland the rear washer didn't work the mechanic said it was a design fault they new all about it they had to take the tailgate apart to fix the pipe no problems since

The the worst place to have the issue as the spoilers need to removed and it's glued on :O

I've got the same issue now, it makes the noise but no washer fluid comes out for the rear wiper.

It works for the front wipers.

My car is under warranty, so I'll book this in.

Seems like it may be a common problem, so its good to test the rear wash wipe when buying a Tipo.

Unlikely to be coveted by warranty if frost damage like mine was worth a look around the rear seats and engine bay/ scuttle pannel to see if you can see any trace of the fluid
Hopefully it will just be a connection that's come apart so gets covered

Update on this - it was a connection problem, so it was sorted under the warranty.

If the pump pumps and there is water, a lack of washer can really only be a connection. Pumps fail very rarely but often now 1 pump does back and front so connections are most likely issue.

If you could identify exactly where it was disconnected it might really help someone else on here.

Unfortunately I don't know where the connection was uncoupled, as I wasn't allowed to remain on site, due to Covid. It was all sorted very quickly though, it only took a few mins.

Can also be a hole In the pipe and not just a bad connection
