Styling New Tipo 'crossover' - opinions

The SUV / crossover look seems to be what everyone wants these days. There are so many Sandero Stepway's running around and so many manufacturers offering this look, so why not. It does seem to look good and I like the new logo anyway! I wonder if this slightly higher "cross" suspension set up might run a little less busily on less smooth surfaces.. maybe, maybe not! If they could engineer in just a little, a little bit more refinement with these revisions...

It's not hurting Dacia so I can only see it as a good thing for Fiat to be able to compete in the same market.
I test drove a Stepway and the Tipo is a much nicer car to drive and finishing touches, so hopefully the Cross version will carry on the same way.

I suspected the Sandero / Stepway wasn't so great, never been in a moving one! Their popularity surprises me. Is it all about the price... and maybe marketing?

My Tipo is basically a very comfortable, roomy car, generally but I always thought the low speed ride just gives ever so slightly, too much information about the surface, as if the dampers / springs set up is just lacking that final tweak / tune but I suppose it's always a compromise.

The stepway drove fine, 0.9l 90bph with a turbo, so it pulls better than out 95bhp Tipo, it was quite comfortable too, cheap finish on all the ,materials inside the car, and the ride was a bit wallowy though. It's the cash price that attracts people I believe, it's not a bad car for the price. I think Fiat could market the Tipo better though.
