So as most of you are aware, (apart from the posh ones with the better spec’d Tipo’s :D) the ‘Easy’ trim doesn’t come with Bluetooth Audio Streaming :(

It does however have an Aux port which is handy but rather frustrating having to plug your phone in everytime you get in the car! Luckily enough, you can buy Bluetooth receivers on eBay for less than £5, they have an aux port with a small wire that goes from the Receiver straight into your cars Aux port, connect your phone to the receiver, load up your Spotify mix, stick your radio on Aux mode and job’s a goodun :D.

I bought a 12v multiport that you can see in the pic as I have DVD screens in the back for the little ones along with Sat Nav etc which all need power, they’re around £6 from Asda and work a treat, especially as they have USB ports so you can leave your Bluetooth receiver plugged in constantly (comes on and off with ignition)

Just thought I’d give the other poor folk like me a bit of an heads up as if you’re anything like me, having wires all over the place is a big no no.

Just to add, I did try plugging the Bluetooth receiver straight into the cars USB port but for some reason it won’t play any music properly, it just skips. A real shame really as if it did work I’d have been able to skip the tracks on my phone using the steering wheel controls.

Thanks for this useful info. I have a 1.4 easy spec (2020) and I cant see an AUX port other than the one for the cigar lighter. Next to it is the USB port. How do I connect the little wire from the blue tooth receiver in this set up?

Hi, Jim.

Unfortunately it seems they decided not to fit the later cars with an Aux port for some reason :( so unless you can find a Bluetooth receiver that’ll work off the original cars USB port then you won’t be able to do it.

The Bluetooth receiver I’m using is only a cheap one but I do wonder if the more expensive ones would work using the cars USB port.

That should work a treat, Jim.

Instead of using Aux, you just set the frequency on your FM radio to the same as your adapter and stream that way.

My wife has a Vauxhall Viva and even though it’s top spec, it came with no DAB and no Aux port, we bought a Nextbase DAB adapter which works the same as the item you listed (via FM radio) and it works spot on.
