Should the turbo and EGR be covered by the warranty on a Tipo?
All servicing and regular oil checks have been carried out. I have contacted Fiat regarding my (very expensive) issue and they seem to be doing anything they can to avoid paying for repairs.

Hi :)

If its private use within sensible mileage constraints

AND servicing has been carried out to the book then yes you should be covered

It is 2 years from FIAT uk
+1year from dealer

As above..
Some FIAT service agents are far better than others..
So feel free to shop around ;)

With my £550 per wheel alloy issue

Supplying dealer swapped 2

The place that serviced it supplied the other 2.. far better people to deal with ;)

Tell us more.. :)

Yes the warranty is the new car three year warranty. Fiat customer services have asked dozens of questions ranging from 'what direction were you travelling?', ' what was the weather like?', 'when did you last put fuel in?' as well as asking for photographs, recepits, diagnostic print outs etc. They did not seem interested in when I had checked coolant and oil levels or the condition of the tyres. The car has only done 40k and the cost of repair would be huge.

Hi again :)

Is this FIAT UK (slough)

Or the European call centre?

I wouldnt be too suprised if work has been 'farmed out' due to Covid

Anyway it does seem a strange line of questioning..

Is vehicle throwing losts of errors.. or physically broken ?

Charlie

I have had a diagnostic on the vehicle which has said that the EGR and turbo are knackered. Oil level was fine 6 weeks before breakdown and no warning lights to suggest any problems. I am dealing with Customer Services in Slough.
