Having just moved from a Stilo to a Tipo (1.4, 95 bhp) I am interested to learn what changes have been made to the car which might affect future maintenance.
The main one I can see is the change of type of hose clip on the cooling system. There seems to be a variety of clip types used on the Tipo and they don't look easy to undo. Some are the clic type which I am familiar with and have the appropriate pliers but others look a bit like jubilee clips but without the screw part to undo and tighten them. Does anyone know how to work with these clips?

The other thing I noticed was the doors have a rubber strip running the length of their bottom edges. On a Stilo there was no such strip and the drain holes to let water out were visible and could be used to spray anti corrosion fluid into the doors. Are the Tipo doors completely sealed or do they too have drain holes?

Thanks for any help.

Personally Jim when the time comes & you have to undo/fiddle with these clips, I would discard & invest in quality stainless steel worm drive ones, far easier to work with. Undoing these new clips is quite easy. Pliers & a strong large flat headed screw driver should see you there, always worked for me. Some have used hacksaw or grinder, but I never needed that.
