Hello Everyone!

I’d like to know which transmission layout does the Tipo 1.4 T-Jet Mirror has?
I saw on google where the ‘R’ gear is on the right and I test drived a T-Jet where the ‘R’ gear is on the left.
Yesterday I ordered my first new car the Tipo 1.4 T-Jet and I hope I’ll have the ‘R’ gear is on the left.

I attached 2 pictures about the layouts.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think (based on the fact it's what I have in my car) that the R top left is the M32 gearbox, and the R bottom right is the C635 gearbox. From what I can tell, all 6-speed Tipos are fitted with a C635 gearbox. So - either that picture of the "top left" variant is not from a Tipo, or it's from a pre-production model, or some Tipos are actually fitted with M32's (despite what the great Google seems to suggest), which isn't great as they're renowned for being very fragile.

My 1.4 16v is bottom right same basic engine I believe just not turno charged

Thank you for this information! Guess it will be a 'surprise' what kind of gearbox will I get for my Tipo.

I own one of both and it's confusing as hell switching between the two!

I had a non turbo as a courtesy car for a day....it really freaked me out.....

And what are you experiences with the T-Jet transmission? Is it reliable or should I worry and do something later in order to prevent the famous M32 problems? (Last week I ordered the 1.4 T-Jet version.)

As far as I understand it, the M32's tend to be reliable as long as the vehicle remains standard, pushing any extra power/torque through them is when they start to have issues.
Smooth gear changes will obviously help too.
