Hello everyone,I'm a new member to the forum and I'm looking for any advice related to lowering the rear seat,so that it is completely flat. I'm driving a 2019 Tipo Lounge Station Wagon and I can't seem to figure out how to use the "flip and fold" technique for the rear seat. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Welcome to the forum :)

Unless there's been changes since the car was released in 2016, this video suggests that the seats don't fold completely flat:

If they have changed it, the likelihood is that it will be like older Fiats where the base lifts from the rear to tilt forward, then the backs fold down into the space as above, it's still not perfectly flat though...

If it's of any help, here are the relevant pages from the latest Tipo handbook that I could find (04/2018) ...

They do fold perfectly flat in the station wagon.

1) Pull the bench seats up using the little strap in the middle of each section of seat and fold them against the front seats.
2) Tuck the seat belt buckles under the straps at the bottom of the back rest.
3) Pull the clip on the top of the back rests and fold them down flat.
4) Tuck the seat belts into the clips on the B pillar.

Hello
The flip and fold feature on the current model is an optional extra (no, it doesn't make sense to me either). I was at the point of buying an ex-demo tipo estate assuming that they would have the flip and fold feature but fortunately I decided to check only to discover that the seat backs just drop forward leaving a very unsatisfactory uneven load deck. I poi Ted this out to the salesman and he said that this was standard on the current models. Needless to say I walked away. I think that was a crass decision by FIAT but what do I know, I'm only a customer.
Hope this helps.
David
