As you are probably aware, FIAT have no plans to make a hot version of the Tipo. I am considering developing an engine conversion which will include Hybrid Turbo, new exhaust and injectors to offer approx 210 HP. I'd offer a custom suspension solution with uprated springs and dampers and perhaps a larger rear anti-roll bar

Just wondering if there is any interest out there?

cheers
Julian

It's not done badly in Europe though

KIA make a hot version of the C'eed - so it seems to me that the TIPO needs a shot in the arm.

Given all the resource thrown at the Giulia I would have thought a decent Hot Hatch version of the TIPO would be an obvious commercial move. However it seems there is no desire for it. In fact there aren't even any hot versions of the Giulietta available anymore.

I may got shot down in flames, but the Tipo is marketed as a cheaper version of the usual makes,so spending money to make it go faster to a lot of people doesn't compute, and to be honest if I'd needed more speed/handling than dog wagon my money would have gone elsewhere

I visited a classic Italian car meet last weekend and amongst other interesting machines saw a Delta Integrale HF and a 131 Mirafiori Rally car. Those were the days...

Would be nice to fit a B12 suspension kit plus a td 04 conversion, with bigger injectors and punto ss sensors and maybe a pair of 1.4 16v na cams but for the 5 year warranty it would void.
