Hi guys

Picked up my Tipo Easy Plus on Friday there and have to say rather impressed with it!! Waiting for the dealership sorting out activating the Uconnect Live capabilities on my car but otherwise it's an enjoyable car

Just a shame you can't add SatNav capabilities to the in-built Uconnect Radio after its left the factory (kind of kicking myself not getting the Lounge model or paying the £250 option to have it fitted at the factory...) Surely at that kind of price it can't be much of a job adding it in?

Anywho got it in Tango Red and loving it!

Not 100% on it but I think there are hardware differences between the units that means it can't be done

You can buy an Android radio, do a little search on the internet, there is some out there that is plug and play on the Fiat tipo saloon.. i have installed my self, i had uconnect 5, and installed this android 7" which is amazing..

As far as I can see, the main difference is the Nav units have the Nav button on them as opposed to the Trip button the non-Nav units have - if I knew the difference was £250 inwouldve either plumped for that or stretched tons Lounge model but im really happy with my Easy Plus anywho!

Will probably be a lot less hassle just using a plug in TomTom or something

I,ve just bought a 17 reg 1.4 easy in Red not sure if its Tango but looks nice and impressed with the front shape. Alas no Satnav or camera or sensors fitted as standard but may get P sensors or a rev camera fitted. The Satnav isn't a problem as i have a detachable one. Neverleless quite pleased but too early to judge.

On my Spanish reg Tipo I just plug my phone in and the sat nav is displayed on the car's screen. Just as good if not better than having the Sat Nav built in. On my UK reg Tipo it is actually built in but is not better than the Spanish one really.

In case you wonder what models I have Spanish 1.4 petrol Mirror. (Different spec to the UK version) Here in the UK the Elite model 1.6 diesel.

You can add Sat Nav, I’ve done it to my Easy spec Tipo.

I’ve got an original Sat Nav unit for sale with code if interested and can do what needs to be done using MES if you’re in the South West
