Just taken delivery of Tipo SW to replace 105k 54 1.9jtd Stilo mw written off when hit on n/s front wheel when on a roundabout. Totally not my fault and very p****d of as I had replaced both subframes, rear calipers and brake lines, new front tyres 2 weeks before and it was my third Stilo mw (first one 122k - written off when reversed into by large lorry when parked while I was booking in on site, second one 191k and still going as I gave it to my brother when I picked up the 3rd one with 68k on the clock).
Insurance company put it down as BER. I would have tried to buy it back but the front wheel was pushed back 3 inches and the whole front was pushed across about 2 inches so goodness knows what has happened there!
Anyway first impressions of the Tipo are good - drives nicely and load space is good, I can put a stepladder in the back with the back seat down!!
I am second owner and the car has 9k on it. As I do 2.5k a month I should get a good idea of how it will compare to the Stilo.

Watch this space!!

Well a few years later and the Tipo is still going. Just ticked over 99k and still enjoying ownership. Apart from normal consumables - tyres, brakes - and 3 windscreens (the joys of motorway driving when they are continually 'working' on it (M20)). No problems that can be attributed to the car - can't blame it for a close encounter of the VW kind on a narrow country road. You don't notice the scrape if you don't wash the car!! Load lugging is as good if not better than the Stilos as the back seats fold really flat. Serviced regularly at a local place, timing belt done when needed and couldn't be happier.
