General Your views on buying second hand suspension kit.

I was offerd a Bilstein Sporting 40mm Suspension Kit for (to me) a very good price of £60. (Springs+Shocks)

Supposed to have done approx 15000 miles.

If I ever upgrade the suspension on my car then it would be on budget.
(blown HG will drain my wallet )



Or is it not worth the risk & just get a brand new set of springs only off eBay for ~£60.

Would need to see them TBH, could have been 15K of pot holed country roads or 15k of motorways.

You could fit them and one or more could burst/break then it turns out not to be so cheap.

On the flipside though you could fit them and they would be fine!

under sprung and under damped

get an Apex kit from Motech

I've got AVO kit still in the box, its four AVO springs and four Kayaba Dampers. The dampers aren't much stiffer than OE. Are these gonna be worth fitting? Should I sell the lot and get something else???

AVO is good stuff - and I have good experience of Kayaba dampers

That combo should be fine for fast road use

Excellent, thanks for that. TBH I think anything else is gonna be too much for road use especially down bumpy b roads.
