I have what I believe is an OBD 1 port on my motorhome. But I have an OBD 2 reader. I've seen adapters on ebay but from the pics non look like they'll plug into my port. Anyone know what I should order ?
This is my OBD port

Is it possible that you have a late converted x230 model? If not sure check the VIN for format ZFA244xxxxxxx.
An x244 should have a standard 16 way OBD2 style socket, behind a cover in the lower dash and to the RHS of the steering column. Inboard of the RH cab fusebox. The connector is fitted into a mounting plate, and not hanging free in wiring. I have plugged a cheap code reader into my x244, and managed to communicate with the ECU.
Multiecuscan software running on a Windows computer is frequently recommended, as is the company Gendan for supply and advice.

Thanks for that.
Based on your advice I've had a rummage around behind that grey connection block and found the OBD 2 port

I plugged in the OBD and it seems to communicate but I've no warning lights on so nothing came up. I hope it stays that way. I suppose these are of limited use on these early ducatos with a limited number of sensors ?
Many thanks
Chris
