General Written off

Cars been officially written off but i need to get my hand on the engineers report - it was done by an assessor on behalf of third party's insurance. According to the place where my car is being stored, I will receive this through the post at some point, but when i rang up the place that did it they said they cant send one out. Which one is telling the truth? i need it for claim purposes as RAC Legal services are taking over because they are disputing. Any help appreciated.

You are legally allowed a copy of the report, they may have to send it via the insurance company who paid for it but it is your right to have it, check with your insurance company as they will have a copy, may be easier to get one off them.

i hope your not talking about the front bumper [!] if you are you won't wanna have it! anything from the engine bay backwards is in the same condition as before the accident, the fronts a mess.

I rang NU (my insurance) and told them the third parties insurance and engineer who did report weren't for sending me it so they rang the other insurance co. who will forward it to my insurance co. when they receive it and then they will send me one out. This i do not understand - why can't they just send to me direct? all it does it waste time, which is probably why they do it.
