General Write off - whatcha reckon?

As usual our insurance company is pratting around and we are still waiting for their "nominated" garage to even pick the car up after a week.

The other half spun out on the M60 trying not to get hit by some prat doing 90-100 (he even had the cheek to come back and tell the police that she nearly cut him up - arsehole). She was doing about 70-75 when she spun and hit both ends on the central barriers.

The poor car had only done around 31000 miles despite being on an R plate, it was a 1.4SX btw.

if you are fully comp they should pay for hire car untill they say its a written off,

nope - no hire car - they say its because the third party didnt hit her - gits

the other half is fine - bit of whiplash but other than that its mainly nerves - when she finished spinning she was facing the oncoming traffic! got her back in a car the other day, we rented a new punto 1.2active for a week

the insurance classed it as accidental damage as the other half avoided the guy so no third party was involved [!]

that happened me too. It's so frustrating. i mean your wife's instinct was to get out of the way and not get that fool killed. as was mine! he wasn't insured in my case.
