If you have to start without the clutch, stop the engine and select first. .............. - it'll be a bit jerky though -

But the very best way to dothis is at the Traffic lights - just keep looking at the guy next to you, then the lights, then him, then the lights, and just watch him shoot off light a bat out of hell, while you go..... chugalug, chugalug, chugalug, chug chug vroom!! It is priceless!!

In my CInq Sporting I had before I joined here many moons ago. I thought my clutch had gone but the synchomesh went in the gearbox. driven all the way from Doncaster to Leicester in 2nd. lol. The car and I were knackered after. lol

I carry a spare clutch cable too aong with my other spare everythings in my boot. ALong with my spare stuff, 1st aid kit, sub+amp, there is no room for owt else in there.
