As I understood it, without butane/propane, a NA car won't work properly?

only works on turbos, or you need a gas kit one, if it does work on non turbo it means car is running rich wich is bad

nope it does work all it need is the egnistion to work coz there is loads of cars around near me that have em with they make them selfs was going to do it with mine

doesnt it just burn excess fuel vapours, so u have to rev like crap to produce even a little flame

butane is the way too go my mate has one on his corsa, its mad and has got less chance off going bang

my one produces flames its also to do in loss of back pressure as well as the engine running rich

you can always cut power to one of the actual spark plugs in the engine causing fuel to pass unburned through the system and egniting it at the exhaust (most kits do this, do however keep in mind it will never work with a cat in place)

and i am sort of having problems withthe coil and plug
does the plug need an earth?

i wired it up like so

+batt -> switch ->+coil
-batt -> -coil
Middle coil cable -> Spark plug

should this work????

I personally don't think it will, at least not if your car is working properly and your catalyst is working properly (Unburnt hydrocarbons, CxHy removed through high temperatures + surface area and oxygen, basically combustion, forming H20 and CO2)

That ONLY works on vehicles with cats(that´s why i asked )So if you don´t have a cat you can get a nice BIG flame out your pipe

Butane/Propane is the way to go, but might be illigal in some places to carry at all times,reason is it´s not good for an engine to pass unburned fuel through the cylinders as it will remove oil and cause premature wear
