Technical Won't proxy align!!!?

i recently upgraded to the new clocks with rev counter from my poverty spec ones. works perfectly fine until i went to get it proxy aligned to stop the flashing. It kept saying there was a connection error but yet everthing else such as airbag lights etc connected no problem:bang:. so now i am stuck with the flashing! surely it can't be ecu if everythin on the car is perfectly ok. thanks

What cable was you using?

I have 2 cables and have to switch between them for different functions.

If i remember correct you need an ELM cable for the proxyalign
