Hey people,

I am fitting a Toad AI606 alarm and i need a little bit of help!

In the instructions, certain descriptions of wires say "connect this wire to systems that need a signal that pulls low (to ground) for an interval automatically controlled by the alarm" and "connect this wire to other devices that require a signal that pulls low (to ground)".

Can anybody tell me exactly what is meant by these phrases?

Thanks!

This could possibly be associated with total closure systems, or central locking systems etc that use a 'pulse' created by the Alarm system to activate other auxillary items. However, your best off talking to a fitter or auto electrician, they should be able to tell you :)

The "pulls low to ground" bit basically means a switched earth. i.e. having the switch in the connection to ground (vehicles bodywork) rather than in the positive supply side.
