General Wiper Blades

Right then guys, where do you get your wiper blades from?

I popped in the Halfrauds yesterday on the off chance on them having some. I spoke to the chap and he punched in my car on his computer. It gave him the part number and he said they were special order only. So I asked him how much and nearly fell over with the response. £65!!

I didn't have time to ring Fiat this morning so I dread to think what they will charge.

Where are other people getting their wipers from? How much do you pay?

My car has done 30k miles now and they judders all the time. It's getting quite annoying. How often do you usually have to change them?

I got mine from the Stoneacre Fiat Dealer for £17.99. They are specialist Fiat wipers, many manyfacturers use the same type of wipers now but they all fit differently, hence why you cant get universal wipers at Halfords on the cheap.

Having said that, the £17.99 is still cheaper that the universal one's I believe.

Including postage, £17 seems about the cheapest on Fleabay for a pair. If £17.99 is for a pair, that seems a good deal.

Cheap Halfrauds own brand. No thanks.

Turns out my lease covers wiper blades so it's going into Souls in MK tomorrow to have a pair of fronts and the rear fitted.

I've got a really big problem with my wiper blades farting every time they wipe.

I've cleaned the blades thoroughly and it still happens.

Plus my car has only done 6380m.

Yep. Mine judder and the car only done 8000miles and is only 2 weeks old in my hands. The wipers look like new!!!

I did, made no difference. Cleaned the blades and the screen. Was even the same after having a new screen fitted.

Not had my new halfrauds ones for long and they're farting already, scroll up to see the date I bought them heh. Its fine when its moist enough but anything short of torrential then they start to flatulate. Sometimes even when its torrential.

Had the same thing happen on my 09 Bravo after 4 weeks , leasing company replaced them .But guess what ? 8 weeks later they have started doing the same thing again .She Who Must Be Obeyed (The Wife ) 07 Panda is still on it's original set of blades .Weird !!

Funny I come across this thread as soon as I come from the local dealer here in Sydney.

The larger blade costs AUS $68.00 and the smaller blade is $58.00

VERY expensive!

This is from the dealer by the way.

I found and after market one but they only make the Larger blade not the small one. WHY would they do that? I asked... they dont know... most likely it fits another common car so they listed it.
