Technical Windscreen washers

Hi all, have come across a new problem on my 2001 JTD. On Friday I must have drained my washer tank in the dirty weather we are having. When I got home I filled my tank up again, but there was no water coming from the front washers. The rear one is working fine but the fronts are just bubbling. Being a complete novice, I tried to sort it today but without success! Any ideas? Also my headlamp washers are still bubbling away all on their own!!!! Thanks
