Before everybody says: "Silly old fart, don't you know how to do that?" obviously not otherwise I wouldn't be asking the question. "Get on with it!"
Alright, I keep getting a Windows Live Messenger box appearing on the screen. I don't want it and it seems to slow everything down until I can 'X' out of it. Is there any way I can avoid it appearing in the first place?

If you have stuff loading at startup you don't want / need then you can

Click on Start then run and type

msconfig

Click on ok

Then choose the startup tab and remove the ticks next to the junk you don't want, click OK it'll ask to restart restart then click the tick next to don't show this message again.

Click on Run>type "msconfig"

A window will appear click on 'start' tab and remove the tick mark from msn messenger..

You are done with it..
