Hi. Has anyone encountered this problem. Sometimes after locking the Stilo Active Aircon 1.4 the electric windows will go down either an inch or all the way. We are careful to not double lock, we are worried about leaving the car at the moment . It used to happen to our Dynamique as well. Many thanks x

Are you sure your thumb is not slipping on the remote? Big thumbs or long fingernails?
Strange that you have experienced the same problem on two cars, so could it be a short in the remote?
Do you have two remotes, if so does this happen with both. (Our 54 stilo 1.4 active has only the one remote, the other key being just blanked.)

Thanks for your reply. Thumb could be slipping ( could that cause the problem? ) no big thumbs or long fingernails perhaps a bit clumsy. Not sure if it could be a short in the remote. Only have one remote and other is just a key like yourselves.

If you press and hold the unlock button down
on the remote the windows will open.

If a window is open when you lock the car
and you hold down the lock button the windows
will close.

When locked there should be a flashing red
led on the top of the drivers door. If not
the cars not locked.

had a similar problem myself a while back... kept coming back to my car to find windows down and skyroof wide open! Also the passenger side window would go down when i pressed the 'up' button inside the car, fortunatelty (hopefully) the problem seems to have cured itself.

There is a problem with one of the body computers I'm sure. I had a small misshap with a pathway which really shook the car made my car have symptoms like you are experiencing.

Thanks John I think you are correct. I did find something in the hand book just like you said. I'll have to be a bit more careful. It's all the rushing in this cold weather!

Door catch/lock barrel is sticking in the "unlock" position enough for the Door node to think you're holding it there and activating the auto-window opening.

Lubrication of both may help, though sometimes a new catch is needed to cure 100%.

I had same problem but only ever happened when the car was parked outside the house. I worked out that when I came home from work I put my key in my pocket and sat down to watch TV or play with the children this could happen but if I put key on the table it never happened. The key was getting accidently pressed while in my pocket and operating the windows, sometimes opening them a little or on one occasion completely causing the interior to get soaked. For the last few years have always put the key on the table not my pocket while in the house and it has never happened again. One of those functions that seems useful but is actually a real liability. Hope this helps.
