Right click on any blank space on your desktop.

Click new from the menu and create a New Folder.

Rename the folder as follow: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}


you dont have to call it godmode BTW,any name you like

I think it may also cause issues on 7 x64 as well.

Luckily I could log in via another user account, and use CMD line to delete the hidden directory sitting in the Desktop folder.
